As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 328,014, making it the tenth-largest city in California. Anaheim is the second largest city in Orange County and is known for its amusement parks, sports teams, and convention center.

The average household size is 3.34 and the average family size is 3.75.

In the city the population is spread out with 30.2% under the age of 18, 10.5% from 18 to 24, 33.5% from 25 to 44, 17.7% from 45 to 64, and 8.2% who are 65 years of age or older.
